Ravetree Networks

A “Ravetree Network” generally refers to a “Ravetree Portal” and a “Ravetree Basic Network.”

A “Ravetree Portal” is private network established by a business, school, club, or other organization for the purpose of internally sharing and organizing information among Ravetree Portal members. Membership in a Ravetree Portal is by invitation only, where the invitor is the creator of the Ravetree Portal, or its designated administrator.

A “Ravetree Basic Network” is a Ravetree Network that includes only users of the free Ravetree Basic services.

Companies, or other entities, who upgrade to a Ravetree Portal may take administrative control of that network and see the data and activities of the users on that network, and may choose to implement security or privacy policies in addition to those described in this privacy statement. With respect to a Ravetree Basic Network, references to “you” or “your” in this privacy statement refer to the individual users of the Services. With respect to Ravetree Portals, references to “you” or “your” in this privacy statement refer to the organization that is our customer. Individual users of Ravetree Portals should direct privacy related inquiries to the organization that provides them access to the Services.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Website and Services, including information:

  • by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number (“personal information”);

  • about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website and usage details.

We collect this information:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically as you navigate through the site. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses and information collected through cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies.

Information You Provide to Us.

The information we collect on or through our Website may include:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website (“Contact Data”). We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Website.
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including e-mail addresses), if you contact us.
  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

Except as provided in this privacy policy or described in your agreements, we only use User Contributions to provide and enhance the Services. We do not share your User Contributions with advertisers or any other third party, unless you offer your consent.

Ravetree works better when more people take part in communicating and sharing on a Ravetree Network. For this reason, the Services encourage people to send invitations to others who are not yet on Ravetree. If you choose to provide us with email addresses or other Contact Data of third parties or people inside or outside your organization, we will use that information to enable you and other users to invite those people to join the appropriate Ravetree Network.

We may also suggest contacts that you may want to add to your Ravetree Network. If you choose to add them to your Ravetree Network, we will send them an invitation to join your Ravetree Network by sending an email on your behalf which may include your name, picture and other profile information.

In addition, we may use Contact Data to complete the transactions you request, administer your account, improve the Services and detect and prevent fraud.

We may also use Contact Data to contact you to provide information about new subscriptions, billing and important updates about the Services, including information about security or other technical issues. If you are a verified administrator for the Service, you may not be able to unsubscribe from some of these communications.

Subject to your contact preferences, we may also use Contact Data to contact you regarding information and offers about the Service or to request your feedback. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please adjust your account settings accordingly.
